The All Progressive Congress (APC) Media Forum has paid a Courtesy visit to the office of jigawa state Attorney General and the Commissioner of Justice Dr Musa Adamu Aliyu. The visits is to appreciate and commend him for the developmental initiatives the Ministry had witnessed under his leadership. The Forum led by their Chairman Malam Murtala Garba who said, they came also to seek for the Commissioner’s advice and guidance on how they can conduct their activities in accordance with the law.
The new innovations put in place towards ensuring justice delivery in the state is highly commendable. We are indeed happy to inform the Honorable commissioner that you have our support and cooperation, and we will provide all the necessary information that will help your ministry in the course of service delivery, Malam Garba added.
Receiving the media forum, the Attorney-General/Commissioner for Justice thanked the Governor Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, mni, for giving him the opportunity to serve the state. He also appreciates the forum for the kind gesture. This shows that the Ministry’s effort has been recognized, as such we will keep on working on making sure that justice delivery is easy and accessible to the downtrodden, he said.
Responding to their appeal, the Attorney-General assured them his maximum support towards ensuring that their forum activities are guided by the law. He highlighted the need to embrace digital technology in their activities, he said “most of the successes this ministry has recorded was as a result of information technology”. We’ve unveiled our website, we now have social media handles and a hotline to which we share information and receive feedback and complaints from the public. I must say we have to embrace technology to compete with the emerging ICT era the Commissioner added.
Also present at the meeting is the Forum Vice Chairman Alhaji Shitu Kafin Gana, Malam Gambo Dayyanu, Musbahu Jamilu Dan Taura, Hon. Garba Ohu Katiya and Abdullahi Mu’azu Ringim.
