Dr. Zakiyyu Muhammad was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2012 after obtaining his LL. B from Bayero University Kano in 2010. He obtained his higher degrees from BPP University, London and Mewar University, India where he earned his LL.M (Master of Comparative Commercial Law) and PhD in law (with specialization on Human Rights and Constitutional Studies) respectively.
Before joining the services of Jigawa State, Dr. Zakiyyu was a Senior Registrar of the Court of Appeal of Nigeria and while he was pursuing his PhD, he worked as an Assistant Professor of Law in Mewar University, Lecturer in Swami Vivekanand Subharti University and an Assistant Editor in the International Journal of Law both in India.
Muhammad joined the services of Jigawa State Government in 2013 as a Senior State Counsel and rose to the rank of Assistant Chief State Counsel. He is specialized in both civil and criminal litigation, Legal Drafting, Research and he is a certified mediator, always looking for a position that will enable him explore new opportunities and achieve new goals.
