Jigawa State at 32 – Justice Sector to Key into Governor Malam Umar Namadi’s Agenda for Greater Jigawa State.

Jigawa State was established on August 27th 1991 by General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida’s Military Administration. Its first Military Administrator was Colonel Olayinka Sule, and its capital is Dutse. Over the past 32 years, the state has had eight governors, with Malam Umar Namadi FCA currently serving as the ninth. The state has seen significant progress under the leadership of previous administrations.

One of the areas in our State that has seen significant growth is in the Justice Sector. The Attorneys-General who have served over the past 32 years have made tremendous efforts to bring about various changes that have significantly improved the delivery of justice in our State. They laid a solid foundation that the current administration of Malam Umar Namadi FCA is building on to push the sector even further. This administration has come at a time when the world is experiencing a rapid technological shift, and the state government has embraced this change to ensure the justice sector moves forward.

It’s great to see that the Governor of Jigawa State, Malam Umar Namadi FCA, has an ambitious 12-point agenda that includes securing the state and making information technology a key sector for its development. It’s important to leverage on IT to improve the socio-economic status of the state, especially since Jigawa State was once a pioneer leader in e-governance. The Ministry of Justice is fully committed to supporting the Governor’s vision and ensuring that Jigawa State becomes a more outstanding place that our future generations can be proud of.

In the Ministry of Justice, by the grace of Almighty Allah, we are committed to changing the narratives and improving the justice sector in Jigawa State. Through a thoughtful strategic plan, we aim to place Jigawa State in an enviable position among the 36 States of the Federation. We are dedicated to supporting the developmental agenda of Malam Umar Namadi, FCA, the Governor of Jigawa State, and working towards a greater Jigawa State. With the grace of Almighty Allah, we will continue to strive towards a fair and just society for all.
