Commissioner of Police Jigawa Command visits Attorney General seeks to strengthen working relationship.

The newly posted Commissioner of Police Jigawa Command CP Aliyu Sale Tafida psc has paid a familiarization visit to the office of the Jigawa State Attorney-General and the Commissioner for Justice Dr Musa Adamu Aliyu on Tuesday 24th August 2021. The visit was done for the CP to formally introduce himself and seek a continuous working relationship with the Ministry of Justice for a safer and better state.

CP AS Tafida said, “I’m aware of your robust commitment towards ensuring speedy delivery of justice. And like we all know, the Police are relevant actors in the administration of justice, So, I therefore, seek to know from the Attorney General if there are areas of concern that you wants the Police to know that will aidin having a harmonious working relationship with the Ministry of Justice.”

In his welcome address, the Attorney General said, I’m thankful and happy to recieve you” ,adding that CP AS Tafida is the first Police Commissioner in Jigawa State to pay him a familiarization visit. He said “as a matter of fact, I feel highly honoured and I assure you of having a friendly working relationship with me.”

Dr Musa Adamu Aliyu also commended the Jigawa police command on its effort in submitting case diaries on time,indeed the consistency is mind-blowing he added.

Regarding issues of concern, the Attorney General pleaded with the Police Commissioner to double efforts in forwarding case diaries to the Ministry of Justice and advised that the Police Command should be more visible in the media so that people of Jigawa State will follow their activities.

Dr Musa Adamu Aliyu appealed to members of the public to understand that the justice sector actors are trying to discharge their duties in accordance with the law as such members of the public should not always consider grant of bail by courts and Police within their jurisdiction as a negation of the rule of law.

At the end of his remarks, the Attorney-General, appeal to all justice sector actors to have the fear of God in the course of discharging their responsibilities, as everyone will accounts for his deeds in this life and in hereafter.

CP AS Tafida psc in his closing remarks, assures the Attorney General a prompt intervention on the said issues he raised and presents to him a gift of honour, which symbolizes strength, Synergy and Unity for all Justice actors .
