Lawan .D. Baba Esq is presently the Solicitor General and Permanent Secretary of the ministry overseeing the general administration of the Ministry.
An excellent prosecutor, an administrator per excellence and a seasoned litigator.
Mr Lawan has decades of experience in Justice Administration having served in the Judiciary before transferring his services to the Ministry of Justice where he rose to Head Prosecution Units at various High Courts in the State before joining the Justice Sector Reform Commission as Director Law Reform and later on he was appointed the Executive Secretary of the Commission. He was appointed a Permanent Secretary in 2019 and posted to the Ministry of Commerce before being transferred to the Ministry of Justice in September, 2021.
Mr Lawan is a trained Lawyer and ADR professional.
